Mr. HATANGIMANA Fulgence is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Land Survey at INES-Ruhengeri, a private research university located in Musanze, Rwanda. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and actively contributes to teaching and research in surveying, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing.
Mr. HATANGIMANA holds a Master’s degree in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. His graduate research focused on the application of deep learning particularly transformer models to analyze satellite imagery of the Amazon for forest regeneration studies. This work reflects his growing expertise in handling large geospatial datasets and leveraging advanced geo-computing techniques.
