Dr ISHIMWE Alain Prudence is a Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences (BLS) at INES-Ruhengeri. He holds a PhD in Immunology from Harbin Medical University in China (2020), a Master’s degree in Applied Microbiology (2017), and a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology (2015), both from Periyar University in India.

His research focuses on infectious diseases and the use of medicinal plants in treatment and disease prevention. With a strong academic background in microbiology and immunology, Dr Ishimwe contributes to both teaching and research in the biomedical sciences.

In addition to his academic duties, he serves as an Editor of the Rwanda Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences and as a Reviewer for the Journal of Drug Delivery and Therapeutics.
