Dr. Emmanuel HAGENIMANA is a Rwandan mathematician and statistician currently serving as the Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies at INES-Ruhengeri and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering.

He joined INES-Ruhengeri in September 2018 as a Lecturer and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in December 2023. Over the years, he has held several key leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Statistics Applied to Economy, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Fundamental Sciences, and most recently, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Information Technology.

Dr. HAGENIMANA holds a PhD in Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics from Dalian University of Technology in China. He also earned a Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics from Periyar University in India, and a Bachelor of Science with Education (Mathematics and Physics) from the former Kigali Institute of Education (now University of Rwanda). In addition, he undertook advanced research training (MPhil) in Stochastic Differential Equations.

He has taught extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Rwanda and beyond. In 2025, he was selected for the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) Staff Mobility Program, where he taught at ARDHI University in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

An accomplished academic, Dr. HAGENIMANA has published widely in reputable international journals and serves as a reviewer for several indexed publications. His research focuses on reliability theory, differential equations, and probability and statistics. He has supervised numerous theses and is passionate about strengthening postgraduate education and international collaboration.
