Profile: Dr MUNDERERE Jean Damascène
Dr. MUNDERERE Jean-Damascène is holder of a PhD in Judicial Law and a PhD in Political Sciences and is pursuing another PhD in International Criminal Justice at Open University of Tanzania. He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in addition to a Master’s of Law and a Bachelor’s of Law. He has more than 20 years of professional experience including 13 years of teaching in Higher Learning Institutions, 3 years working in public administration, 2 years in justice sector and 5 years in human rights organizations.
He is currently lecturer in the Faculty of Law at INES-Ruhengeri, teaching subjects like General Criminal Law; History of Law; Sociology of Law; Psychology of Law; Private Law; Business Law; Company Law; Legal Terminologies; Securities Law; Judicial Law; Legal Drafting; Fiscal Law; Pleading Techniques at undergraduate level. He has also taught a number of law-related courses at Master’s level and Postgraduate Diploma of Legal Practice in other Universities.
Dr. MUNDERERE Jean-Damascène has a good publication record, including publications in local and international journals, and he supervises students’ research projects at undergraduate and Master’s level. His current research interests focus mainly on the legal assessment of the judicial reform in Rwanda. He is also the Coordinator of Internship in the Faculty of Law.
