Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering
Program's Overview
The Bachelor of Science
in Renewable Energy Engineering at INES-Ruhengeri is designed using a
competency-based model with a focus on practical work through an on-campus
laboratory, living lab in the community, our other different outreach projects,
and internship in collaboration with our industrial partners. The Program brings sufficient skills in the
integration of emerging technologies, including digital protection systems, AI
and IoT, and grid automation.

The program of Renewable Energy Engineering will be open to both local and international students who are interested in a career in Electrical and Energy Engineering, both females and males. Students from any combination that has mathematics and physics in their main courses in secondary school educational backgrounds will be considered eligible to the program. Students who finished secondary education in electricity and electronics will also be eligible.

Applicants must possess the Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent. National applicants, students who completed secondary education before 2025 must have two principal passes. Those who finished from 2050 must have at least 50% in the national examination. All in the combinations/subjects specified in the “Entry Requirements”.
For identification, national students will need their ID Card, and international students will need their passports or Refugee ID Card.
