On 9 March 2026, a delegation from Seinäjoki University of Applied
Sciences (SeAMK), based in Finland, visited INES-Ruhengeri to explore
opportunities for future collaboration. The delegation was warmly received by
the Vice Chancellor, Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya, during a meeting held on the
INES-Ruhengeri campus.
The meeting provided a platform for both institutions to discuss potential areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening academic and professional engagement. Key areas of discussion included promoting knowledge exchange, enhancing staff skills development, and establishing frameworks for academic collaboration.

Speaking during the meeting, Fr. Dr. Jean Bosco Baribeshya expressed
appreciation to the SeAMK delegation for initiating the visit and reaffirmed
the importance of international partnerships in advancing higher education. He
emphasized that collaboration with global institutions plays a vital role in
strengthening academic excellence, fostering innovation, and creating new
opportunities for professional development among both staff and students.
The discussions also highlighted the possibility of developing joint
initiatives in teaching, research, and institutional capacity building, which
could significantly contribute to the growth and internationalization of both
institutions.
The visit marked an important step toward building a sustainable
partnership between INES-Ruhengeri and SeAMK. Through such engagements,
INES-Ruhengeri continues to expand its international network and reinforce its
commitment to delivering quality education enriched by global perspectives.
