NES-Ruhengeri Welcomes NC State University for Academic Exchange

The visit of 20th May 2026 provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange ideas on modern teaching approaches and the evolving role of universities in preparing students for the global workforce. Discussions highlighted the importance of competency-based education, student-centered learning, and the integration of applied sciences into academic programs.

A major highlight of the visit was a guided tour of the laboratories and practical training facilities at INES-Ruhengeri. The delegation explored different departments, including Computer Science and the Faculty of Health Sciences, where students demonstrated hands-on learning activities and applied technical skills.


The visitors witnessed how practical training is embedded in the university’s learning model, reflecting the institution’s commitment to experiential education and industry-relevant skills development.
