INEZA Foundation donated 1000 books to INES-Ruhengeri

Wednesday 21 January 2026 INES-Ruhengeri hosted a delegation from INEZA Foundation, led by the Program Manager, for an official book donation ceremony held on campus. The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening collaboration between the two institutions, with a shared commitment to promoting reading and writing culture among students and the wider community.

INEZA Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to promote literacy and engage the community through activities such as encouraging reading culture, supporting learning resources, and organizing educational programs that empower students and the public.

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor introduced the institution to the delegation, highlighting INES-Ruhengeri’s academic journey and its Applied Science approach adopted since 2010, which focuses on practical, skills-based learning to prepare competent graduates for national and global development.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed sincere appreciation to INEZA Foundation for its contribution to education through the generous donation of 1000 books, emphasizing that the donation will strengthen learning resources and support students in their academic success.

On their side, INEZA Foundation thanked INES-Ruhengeri for the warm welcome and for accepting to work with the Foundation. The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to formalize their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting literacy and academic development.

Guided Tour of INES Facilities

Following the meeting, the delegation participated in a guided tour of key university facilities. The visit started at the INES-Ruhengeri Library, where the delegation explored the library collection and facilities, and appreciated the role of the library in supporting teaching, learning, and research.

The tour continued with visits to selected laboratories, including the Material Testing Laboratory and the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, where the delegation gained insights into the institution’s hands-on learning environment and practical training facilities.
