For the student performers, the broadcast was a platform to witness firsthand how cultural activities provide a necessary balance to academic life, allowing them to relax, share experiences, and feel truly at home at INES-Ruhengeri.

Accompanying the troupe was the Dean of Students, Mrs. Hyacyinthe Twishime, who highlighted the university’s commitment to a well-rounded education. She explained that while INES-Ruhengeri is a hub for high-level knowledge and applied skills, it is equally dedicated to cultural grounding.
"We train our students to be technically proficient while keeping the traditional values that lead both the individual and the country toward development," Mrs. Twishime noted.
Furthering this vision of a "friendly learning environment," Mrs. Twishime discussed the university's flagship Intercultural Day. This massive annual event serves as a melting pot for all nationalities represented at the campus—from undergraduate to postgraduate programs.
Concluding her remarks, Mrs. Twishime invited future students to experience the unique campus life in Northern Rwanda. Located in a region world-renowned for its mountain gorillas and stunning volcanic views, INES-Ruhengeri offers a serene and scenic backdrop for both academic and personal growth.
By integrating modern science with a deep respect for both local and international cultures, INES-Ruhengeri continues to prove that it is more than just a university—it is a community.
