On February 7, 2025, students from the Department of Architecture and Enterprise Management at INES-Ruhengeri embarked on an insightful field trip to Kinigi Community Commercial Center, Naming Center, and Dian Fossey Campus. The goal of the visit was to identify business opportunities in the area and learn from the experiences of various entrepreneurs.
The trip aimed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical business knowledge. Students had the chance to apply concepts from their entrepreneurship and business plan development courses to real-world scenarios. By visiting established businesses in the region, the students gained valuable insights into how entrepreneurs navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities in the market.
Guiding the students through the trip were Dr. Victoire Muhayimana, a lecturer in entrepreneurship, and Diane Mumararungu, a tutorial assistant in the Department of Architecture. Both were instrumental in helping the students understand the dynamics of entrepreneurship and business strategy in the local context.
This educational excursion was part of INES-Ruhengeri's commitment to providing students with hands-on experiences that enhance their learning and prepare them for future success in business and entrepreneurship. The students returned with a deeper understanding of the practical aspects of business management, inspiring them to pursue innovative business ventures in the future.
