On August 12, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved in the pursuit of inclusive education and community development at INES-Ruhengeri. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed between INES-Ruhengeri, represented by its Vice-Chancellor, Fr. Dr. Baribeshya Jean Bosco, and Missionaires de la Paix du Christ Roix (MPC), represented by its Founder, Sr. Donata Uwimanimpaye.
This partnership is focused on promoting community development through
various initiatives, including inclusive education, knowledge transfer, and
community outreach. The collaboration will particularly leverage the Student
Support Centre, which operates under the ANSWER Project, along with other
opportunities to enhance educational access and support for local communities.
Fr. Dr. Baribeshya expressed enthusiasm about the MoU, stating, “This
partnership represents a commitment to our shared vision of fostering inclusive
education that empowers every child in our community. Through this
collaboration, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and
families.”
Sr. Uwimanimpaye echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of
working together to create a supportive educational environment. “Our goal is
to ensure that every child receives the education they deserve. By joining
forces with INES, we can extend our reach and effectiveness in the community.”
The MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative journey aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and community engagement, setting the stage for innovative projects and initiatives that will benefit the region.
