INES-Ruhengeri Shines in the Rwanda Varsity League

INES teams demonstrated discipline, tactical organization, and competitive resilience across multiple disciplines. , while the Football Team secured a hard-fought 3–3 draw against MIPC (Mubahura Integrated Polytechnic College) in an evenly contested encounter. The Volleyball Team concluded the weekend on a high note, defeating the University of Rwanda College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in straight sets (3–0).

These results not only reflect the athletes’ technical preparation and teamwork but also underscore INES-Ruhengeri’s continued commitment to excellence in inter-university competition.

INES Girls Basketball Team Claims Victory

Saturday on 14th February 2026 at the INES volleyball pitch, The INES Girls Basketball Team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a well-deserved win against University of Kigali (UoK)The Girls Basketball Team set the tone with a commanding 42–17 victory over the UoK. From the first whistle to the final buzzer, the team displayed exceptional teamwork, sharp shooting, and solid defense. Their determination and coordination proved too strong for their opponents, earning them a proud victory.


Football Ends in a Thrilling Draw

The INES Football Team faced off against Mubahura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) in an exciting and competitive match, that took place at INES football pitch. After 90 minutes of high energy and determination, the game ended in a 3–3 draw. Both teams showcased skillful play and resilience, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. The draw reflects the team’s fighting spirit and ability to stay competitive under pressure.


Volleyball Team Dominates the Court

Sunday 15th February 2026 at Busogo Campus, the INES Volleyball Team closed the weekend in style with an impressive victory against University of Rwanda College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (UR/CAVM).

With powerful serves, strategic plays, and unstoppable teamwork, the team won decisively with a score of 3 sets to 0. Their dominance on the court highlighted their preparation and commitment.



Overall, the weekend of 14th–15th February 2026 was a great success for INES-Ruhengeri sports teams.
