INES Ruhengeri proudly joined the rest of the world in celebrating Labour Day 2026 with a vibrant and engaging program dedicated to appreciating the commitment and hard work of its staff.
The celebration commenced with a friendly volleyball match that brought together staff members in a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie. Team A emerged victorious with an impressive 3–0 win, setting an energetic tone for the rest of the day.
Following the match, staff gathered to share meals and refreshments, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere that strengthened collegial bonds across departments.
A key highlight of the celebration was a motivational address delivered by the Vice Chancellor, who commended staff for their dedication and valuable contributions over the past 12 months. The speech emphasized the importance of continued teamwork and excellence in achieving the institution’s mission.

The event also featured the recognition of outstanding performance. Mr. Joel Manishimwe, Accountant in charge of Revenues and Recovery, was voted Best Employee of the Year 2025/2026 by his peers. In his acceptance remarks, he expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that he felt honored and motivated to continue working hard and contributing to the growth of INES Ruhengeri.
