The field trip provided students with a unique opportunity to bridge classroom theory with real-world architectural practice. As future architects, the students explored various sports and recreational facilities within the country club, gaining firsthand insight into the principles and considerations involved in designing large-scale sports infrastructure.
During the visit, the students examined different components of the golf and country club, including the golf course layout, clubhouse facilities, recreational spaces, landscaping elements, circulation networks, and supporting infrastructure. Particular attention was given to how architectural design integrates functionality, aesthetics, user experience, environmental sustainability, and safety requirements in sports facilities.
The learning experience enabled students to observe how topography, climate conditions, drainage systems, accessibility, and environmental conservation influence the planning and construction of sports infrastructure. They also had the opportunity to interact with professionals involved in the development and management of the facility, allowing them to gain practical insights into industry standards and contemporary design approaches.
Through guided discussions and site observations, students explored the relationship between architecture, sports, tourism, and community development. They learned how well-designed sports infrastructure contributes not only to athletic performance and recreation but also to economic growth, environmental stewardship, and social well-being.
Speaking about the visit, the students expressed appreciation for the opportunity to experience a professional sports facility and to observe how architectural concepts are applied in practice. The exposure strengthened their understanding of sports architecture and inspired innovative thinking for future design projects.
