Dr. SHEMA Richard Patience is currently the
lecturer in the department of computer science at Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur
de Ruhengeri (INES-Ruhengeri), Rwanda. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering
(Telecommunication Option) from the Pan African University - Institute for
Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI) and Jomo Kenyatta University
of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya (2022-2025), a master’s degree of
engineering in Electronic Science and Technology from Beijing Institute of
Technology, P.R. China (2013-2015) and a bachelor’s degree of science in Electrical
and Electronic Engineering (Electronics and Communication Systems Option) from
the former National University of Rwanda
(2008-2012).
DR. SHEMA is a telecommunication researcher
with expertise in RF and microwave systems, wireless communications and filter/antenna
technologies. His research focuses on the design, modeling and optimization of
advanced communication systems and ultra-wideband systems. He is especially
interested in the application of intelligent and agentic AI frameworks for
autonomous decision-making and control in dynamic communication environments.
He has authored and co-authored several
publications in telecommunication and related fields; reflecting his commitment
to research excellence, innovation and knowledge dissemination. His broader
goal is to contribute to the advancement of next-generation communication
technologies while supporting research capacity development and scientific
collaboration within Africa and beyond.
