Profile: SEMUKUNZI Vedaste
MR. Vedaste SEMUKUNZI is a Communication Specialist with over 10 years of experience.
He has served as Communication practitioner within various public and private institutions. From 2010 up to 2014 he was in charge of Public Relations and Communication in the Ministry of Public Service and Labor (MIFOTRA) where he raised up public awareness about job creation and quality service.
In 2014, he joined the Ministry of Environment where he was serving as Communication Specialist of a Ruducing Vulnerability to Climate Change Adaptation in North-West of Rwanda project funded by United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) Adaptation Fund.
He served also as in charge of Information, Education and Communication at National Women's Council before joining the Institute of Applied Sciences, INES-Ruhengeri where he is working as Public Relations Officer from November 2021 up today.
The communication duties focus on the dissemination of the institution activities, achievements as well as plans. The aim is to create, maintain and promote the good image of the concerned institution taking into consideration the good relationship with national and international organisations as well as Media practitioners.
A holder of Master's Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the School of Journalism and Communication, National University of Rwanda.
